1- Purchase, installation, and commissioning of refurbished jet bridges for Gates 2 and 11, including the full installation of all applicable auxiliary equipment. See specifications in Attachment 3. Removal and legal disposal of the existing jet bridges at Gates 2 and 11. The jet bridge GPU’s and PCAirs at Gates 2 and 11 are to be removed and provided to RIAC for salvage. Jet bridge replacements and incidentals shall be as specified in Attachment 3, or approved equivalent. Jet bridges shall be delivered, installed, and commissioned at Gates 2 and 11 at Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport. This shall include the removal and temporary storage of existing auxiliary equipment mounted to the jet bridges. Gate 11 Electrical Infrastructure: i. Provide new 480/277V, 1200A gate distribution panel and associated feeder and conduit from existing main electric switchgear to Gate 11 PBB rotunda. Terminate feeder and conduit at face of building and provide NEMA 4X disconnect with 150A fuse. The main distribution panel must be in a common or convenient location approved by RIAC for future gate alterations. Gates 2 and 11 Foundation Inspection and Structural Evaluation: i. Perform visual inspections of jet bridge foundations at Gates 2, and 11 by a licensed structural engineer following rotunda removal. ii. Assess anchor bolts, pier caps, and surrounding concrete for structural integrity and suitability for reuse. iii. Compare new jet bridge reaction loads (provided by the manufacturer) against observed conditions. iv. If foundation design records are unavailable, proceed with in-kind replacements (same model or smaller) to maintain or reduce existing loads. v. Submit a written report detailing findings, load evaluations, and any required corrective actions or recommendations. 2- Carpet and paint replacement: The following scope applies to a select number of RIAC-owned jet bridges, to be designated by the Owner. The Contractor shall provide unit pricing on a per-jet-bridge basis to enable RIAC to determine which jet bridges will be included in the final scope of work. RIAC currently owns jet bridges for this contract are as follows: Gates 6, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 22. The scope of work per jet bridge includes: i. Interior Carpet Replacement: Remove and replace approved carpet in the jet bridge tunnel, rotunda, and fixed walkway areas to match existing. ii. Transition Flooring: Replace existing rubber transition strips between carpeted sections, where applicable. iii. Interior Painting: Patch and paint all interior walls, ceilings, and metal surfaces within the jet bridge tunnel, rotunda, fixed walkway. Paint shall match existing colors and finishes. Remove interior signage, railings, and other obstructions as necessary; protect, and reinstall all items after painting is complete. iv. Gate door: Patch and paint both sides of the gate door and the door frame with the color selected by RIAC. v. Safety Marking: Clean the gap between carpet and wall base, repaint all interior safety markings in yellow, and replace the rubber wall base throughout. vi. Exterior Painting: Paint all exterior surfaces including sidewalls, roof, underside, and associated components of the jet bridge, rotunda column, pedestals, fixed walkway, cabin doors, and all connected accessories (e.g., support anchors). Finishes shall match existing conditions. vii. Warranty: Contractor shall warrant all jet bridge finish work, including paint and carpet installation, for a period of two (2) years from the date of Substantial Completion. This warranty shall cover paint adhesion, corrosion resistance, peeling, blistering, or premature coating failure, as well as carpet wear, delamination, seam integrity, and colorfastness. The warranty shall include both material performance and installation/workmanship. Any deficiencies occurring within the warranty period shall be corrected by the Contractor at no additional cost to RIAC.
