1. This specification covers liquid sodium hypochlorite solution for treatment of drinking water which shall meet the purity requirements as specified in the American Water Works Association Specification B300-04, “AWWA Standard for Hypochlorites” (latest version). 2. The liquid sodium hypochlorite solution shall be 12.5% by weight and 15% by volume. 3. All valves and plugs in the liquid sodium hypochlorite solution containers shall be in first-class condition to prevent leakage. Leaking containers shall not be accepted by the City of Sedalia. 4. Containers with faulty valves or plugs will be cause for return of the container to the vendor for replacement. 5. Bulk shipments to be in 4,000 gallon increments. 6. The City is requesting delivery within 10 calendar days from date of purchase order receipt.
