The purpose of this contract is to seed areas of timber sales for erosion control and wildlife enhancement treatments along log decks, skid trails and temporary roads. Contract areas are located within the boundaries of the Sumter National Forest, Edgefield, McCormick and Saluda Counties, South Carolina. Locations of the landings will be designated on a forest map and compartment maps that are attached to this solicitation. Government provided maps will show the roads, compartment boundaries, and approximate skid road corridors. Decks and skid trails will be treated to the specifications found within “Work Involves” Section of this statement of work. This statement of work consists of planting approximately 75 acres by plowing with a chisel plow, disking or a combination of both as the contractor prefers to use to accomplish the required specifications
