This RFQ is soliciting submissions from a qualified firm to provide permanent restoration design services of the damaged infrastructure including but not limited to: roadways, sinkholes, slope failures, and site furnishings. The scope requires identifying cost-effective mitigation strategies to protect the facilities from future damage specific to the FEMA Public Assistance Program, including but not limited to Stafford Act Section 404 & 406. The City envisions a ‘team’ approach which includes (but is not limited to) landscape architecture, structural, civil, and stormwater engineering, and cost estimating. The services required will be for Riverbend Park, a greenway along the Swannanoa River. It is anticipated that this design/engineering effort will include the scope outlined below, as well as other design/engineering elements or features that will increase restoration and resilience of the parks system.
