The successful applicant shall serve in an advisory capacity to the Millburn Township Committee and will render legal consultation and advice on affordable housing matters submitted for review, study, recommendation or comment. Any experience or knowledge of matters directly affecting the Township should be addressed. A. GENERAL CRITERIA In the capacity of Affordable Housing Counsel the Applicant shall: i. Demonstrate knowledge of general New Jersey law and municipal law under titles 40 and 40A. ii. Provide professional legal services in connection with any matters relating to the affordable housing in the State of New Jersey including but not limited to any declaratory judgement actions, negotiations or discussions with Fair Share Housing Center and the Township’s Housing Element and Fair Share Plan. iii. Attend governing body meetings on an as-needed basis, and upon the Business Administrator’s directive, including other meetings and informal meetings and/or discussions to review and discuss matters before the Township Committee.
