All removal of refuse by the Contractor will be performed as listed on the bid proposal form, and in accordance with the Code of the Town of Bedford - Chapter 67, 67-5 Collection practices. Any pickup of commercial containers in an area zoned residential shall be done only on Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM of each day. Pickup of hamlet receptacles shall be performed before 9:30 AM. Failure to pick up all hamlet receptacles by 9:30 AM on the days listed in this bid, or the following work day if the listed day is a holiday, shall result in a $300 penalty per hamlet per occurrence. Penalty shall be deducted from the contractor’s invoice. This is in addition to contract termination provisions in this agreement. Contractors must have a 2025 Westchester County Refuse License to be eligible to submit the bid proposal. The approved low bidder must renew the license for the years 2026 and 2027.
