The scope of work for the replacement of the VFD will include: • Disconnect and lock-out power to the VFD section of the existing Altivar cabinet at the Water Treatment Plant • Locate and label control wires interconnecting the original VFD to the control cabinet in office • Disconnect and cap all wires to be reinstalled • Remove all components past the existing Square D 400amp breaker in cabinet • Remove existing cabinet ventilation system to allow depth for new VFD in needed • Provide and install any necessary materials to reinforce cabinet to support new VFD if needed. New VFD should be installed in the existing cabinet. Cabinet may require modification. • Install replacement VFD • Install new key pad in cabinet door • Reconnect all control wires • Install new THHN copper conductors with new lugs from existing Square D 400amp breaker to new VFD input • Provide and install new distribution block extending new 250mcm THHN copper conductors to new VFD output if needed • Provide and install new intake cooling fan/filter combo and exhaust filter • Provide and install control transformer, fusing, and thermostat for cooling fan • Test completed installation • Verify correct: o rotation o output current o output voltage • Confirm with Water Treatment Plant staff that all remote controls and displays are functioning properly
