l. Objectives: a. Design and implement an online professional learning course hosted on Canvas (the NMPED’s learning management system) for educators. b. Support educators in the implementation of a research based Restorative Justice Program model at their respective school site. c. Provide progressive restorative justice training and coaching to selected schools based on readiness. d. Promote sustainability or restorative practices across schools statewide. 2. Deliverables and Activities: a. Canvas course development and support. i. Collaborate with NMPED to design and develop a comprehensive Canvas-based course aligned with a research-based, progressive, step-by-step Restorative Justice Practice Model. ii. Collaborate to assess readiness of schools to be enrolled in course. iii. Provide guidance and support to educators enrolled in the course with implementing practices in their schools. iv. Meet with NMPED on monitored course engagement and collaborate based on gathered feedback for continuous improvement and school site support for successful implementation. b. Educator Implementation Support i. Offer coaching and support to educators as they implement restorative justice practices in their schools. ii. Co-facilitate virtual and/or in-person check-ins, Q&A sessions, or group learning opportunities tied to course content. iii. Provide implementation support that is responsive to school context, needs, and equity considerations. c. School-Based Trainings i. Layer 1: In class and whole school RFP practice/implementation 1. Deliver up to two (2) in-person trainings at this Layer and three (3) virtual trainings during the 2025-2026 school year. 2. Target audience includes school teams identified by NMPED as demonstrating readiness for implementation. ii. Layer 2 and Layer 3 and Sustainability Training 1. Deliver up to one (1) in-person training and three (3) virtual trainings focused on postvention, re-entry, and repair practices for schools, and program sustainability support that have successfully implemented practice at Layer 1. a. Training will focus on intensive support practices, re-entry processes, and long-term integration of restorative practices. b. Include coaching on data use, leadership development, and systems change to promote sustainability. d. Evaluation and Reporting i. Provide implementation feedback from educators and schools. ii. Provide recommendations for future scaling and sustainability. iii. Provide partnered school highlights of improved data and their sustainability plans. iv. Provide end-of-year review and recommendations.
