This is renewable, multiple award ID/IQ (Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity) contract for sign installation and replacement upon request on various interstate, primary, and secondary routes in Buncombe, Burke, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Rutherford, and Yancey Counties. The proposed work includes the installation, removal, and stockpiling of both ground mounted and overhead Type A and Type B signs and supports and some miscellaneous related Type D, E, F, and milepost signs and supports. This contract is contingent upon availability of funds, and budget constraints could require that this project be scaled back or canceled. All work and materials shall be in accordance with the North Carolina Department of Transportation 2024 Standard Specifications for Roads and Structures, the North Carolina Department of Transportation 2024 Roadway Standards Drawings, the current edition of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), and the provisions of this contract. New sign panels will be furnished by the NCDOT. Sign panels will be available for pickup by the Contractor at the North Carolina Department of Corrections sign fabrication facility on NC-39 near Bunn, NC. All other materials, equipment, and labor required to complete assigned work shall be furnished by the Contractor.
