A. Pump out and clean all grease buildup and waste products from the Hospital’s two (2) one thousand five hundred (1,500) gallon in ground grease traps located on Renwick Avenue every third (3rd) Tuesday. The first scheduled pumping is anticipated to occur on or about March 24, 2026. I. Upon pumping the grease and waste products, wash down all trap walls, pipe and surrounding area, removing any waste or liquid products left in the tank and surrounding area. The tank is to be free of all waste and liquid upon completion. II. Water pressure for washing down the tanks and surrounding area may not be sufficient if provided by University Hospital. If this is the case, the vendor will be responsible for providing water pressure to complete the job. There will be more than one thousand five hundred (1,500) gallons of waste from each tank when pumping. The systems will not be shut down during the cleaning process. B. During the last calendar week of August, November, February and May, unless otherwise agreed upon by SUNY Upstate Medical Plumbing Facility Manager, all grease traps and associated piping from University Hospital to the “Old Manhole” located in the street where Monroe and Renwick Avenue meet will be cleaned by high pressure jetting. Included in the jetting is the following: I. Jetting and cleaning of all fresh air vents back into the building located in this area. II. Jetting and cleaning of all associated drain lines, screens, grates, and baskets located around the Kitchen Loading Dock area to the manhole in the street in front of the LoadingDock. III. Jetting of the sanitary line coming from the West Wing that goes into the Old Manhole. This is the piping just west of the intake chamber.
