The City of Elmendorf is seeking the lowest responsible bid or bid that provides the best value for the City for a solid waste disposal contract. All bids must include the following terms/services: rate for a 95 gallon toter for garbage collection on Fridays with collection of 2 additional user provided 32 gallon cans, rate for additional 95 gallon toter for garbage collection for those citizens wishing an additional toter, rate for 95 gallon toter for recyclables collection once a week, rate for combined curbside bulky item collection and brush collection twice a year, rates for dumpster service to the public broken down by size of container and a cap on any annual price increases by tying it to the CPI. Proposal will include four 4cy dumpsters serviced weekly for municipal use at no monthly cost to the city. This procurement is exempt from the bidding procedures of Chapter 252, Local Government Code. However, the City will follow a similar process in considering bids in awarding the contract to the lowest responsible bidder or bidder who provides the services at the best value for the City, as provided in this notice.
