The City of Neosho is soliciting bids for the removal and replacement of the sidewalk located on the east side of City Hall, boarding the alley. The new sidewalk must be constructed in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) specifications, providing compliant entry to two designated doors. The existing railing will be reused with minor modifications as needed. The scope of work also includes comprehensive clean-up of the project area. Scope of Work • Remove the existing sidewalk on the east side of City Hall adjacent to the alley. • Properly dispose of all debris and materials from demolition. • Construct a new sidewalk in accordance with ADA standards, including grade, width, slope, and surface requirements. • Ensure ADA-compliant access to two doors on the east side of the building. • 3 existing downspouts currently poured within the sidewalk need to be placed back. • 60 inch minimum width • Reinstall the existing railing with necessary minor modifications to ensure continued compliance and safety. • Perform a thorough clean-up of the entire project area upon completion. ADA Specifications The new sidewalk must meet all current ADA requirements, including but not limited to: • Minimum clear width for accessible routes: 36 inches (48 inches preferred). • Maximum slope: 1:12 (8.33%). • Cross slope: Maximum 1:48 (2.08%). • Stable, firm, and slip-resistant surface. • Accessible entry to both designated doors, including appropriate landings and transitions. • Detectable warnings at alley crossings as required
