It is the intent of this bid is to have the Fire Extinguishers, with or without hoses, located at various Essex County locations, inspected, tested, and maintained, in accordance with this bid specifications. As the specifications refers to Fire Extinguishers, it also includes extinguishers with attached hoses. At the beginning of contract, January 1, 2026, all extinguishers must begin to be inspected, tested, and maintained with new tags, listing the date, signature, and type of service, regardless of the last date on the tag. This service must be completed within 90 days after start of the bid contract. Vendor will coordinate with the County designee of each Agency to determine the timeframe and schedule the necessary service. The designee list is included on pages 45 to 49. The initial annual inspection, testing, and maintenance will include any recharging. The initial hydrostatic testing fee is also included in the annual inspection, testing and maintenance. Vendor may charge for any necessary replace parts in accordance to the specifications and bid proposal sheets.
