1. Water sample collection and laboratory testing. a. Collect water and swab samples and other required data measurements at the locations listed in the Sampling Plan index and noted on the facility plan (Attachment 1). b. Ensure compliance of all sampling per the CDC Sampling Procedures (Attachment 5) and Georgia DPH Legionellosis Control and Investigation Manual 2020 (Attachment 4). c. Record all measurements and lab test results in the Water Management Plan Sampling Template (Attachment 6). Each sampling visit will require approximately 175 1 liter water sample bottles and 125 swab samples taken at the locations depicted on the sampling plan (Attachment 1). d. Vendor shall ensure that all samples shall be transported to and tested by an approved CDC Elite standard laboratory facility. 2. Monitor all buildings at random and distal fixture locations using calibrated thermometers and chlorine/pH testing equipment with instant results readout. a. Monitor water temperatures (cold, hot, & hot return). i. Domestic cold-water temperatures are optimal when below 68°F or cold water must have free chlorine residual of 1.5 mg/L to 2 mg/L. ii. Domestic hot and hot water return temperatures are optimal when above 128°F. iii. Document and retain each location’s domestic water temperatures. b. Monitor residual free chlorine levels (cold, hot). i. Domestic cold and hot water free chlorine levels are optimal when residual free chlorine level is between 1.5 mg/L and 2 mg/L. ii. Document and retain each location’s domestic cold and hot water free chlorine levels. c. Monitor domestic water pressure (cold). i. Domestic water pressure should be between 20 psi and 80 psi. ii. Domestic water pressure below 20 psi indicates some issue in the supply system and will require investigation to locate any issues. iii. Document and retain each location’s domestic cold-water pressure. 3. Phase 1 Duration- One-time site visit testing the locations described in Paragraph 1, Attachment 1, Facility Plan. 4. Phase 2 Duration- Bi-weekly (twice per month) visits for three months (six visits), conducting sampling at Building ‘P’, Warehouse Building Staff Washroom. 5. State Entity will reimburse a trip charge which must include labor and mileage for travel. GDC will not reimburse travel cost and labor cost outside of the trip cost. 6. The Legionella Environmental Assessment Form (Attachment 2) and the Hazard Analysis form (Attachment 3) are included for reference only.
