Vendor will: • Inspect, contain, remove, and dispose of asbestos containing materials; • Perform an inspection of work areas upon notification from HHS. Notification will be made to the vendor’s point of contact stated on the purchase order; • Respond to request for inspection to meet HHS schedule/timing requirements; • Provide a detailed plan that will include the location and layout of decontamination areas, sequencing of asbestos abatement work, methods to be used to assure safety to anyone visiting the site, and a disposal plan for removing the ACM contaminated debris from the site; • Comply with all applicable state, federal, and local regulations, including those governing work practices, transportation and disposal of asbestos waste materials. • Ensure the protection of workers, visitors to the site, and individuals in areas adjacent to the site. • The Contractor shall be responsible for the safety of themselves, their employees, and any authorized personnel, and will bear all associated cost. • Provide temporary utility connections to existing building utilities or provide temporary facilities necessary to carry out the work.
