Transformers primary voltage: 13200 Delta Secondary voltage: 120/208Y or 277/480Y volt as specified in the bid. Wye hook-up. Pad-mounted transformer shall comply with all applicable ANSI standards. Medium voltage rating of cable terminations shall be 15 kV between phases for 133 percent insulation level. Taps shall be 4-2 ½ percent below primary rated voltage. Operating handles for primary tap changers for de-energized operation shall be located within high-voltage compartments, externally to transformer tank. Adjacent to the tap changer operating handle, a nameplate or equivalent stenciled inscription shall be provided and inscribed “DO NOT OPERATE WHILE ENERGIZED”. Secondary terminals to be NEMA 6-hole spade externally clamped and replaceable for 750 kVA and below and NEMA 8-hole spades for 1000 kVA transformers and above. Accessibility to internal portions of all bushings shall be provided either by appropriately located handhold on the cover, or the cover shall be bolted on and removable. Provide pressure relief device. Provide oil drain valve and plug with sampling device in the primary compartment. Six 200 Amp universal type bushing wells (2 per phase) externally clamped and replaceable. Stainless steel pins and hinges shall be provided. Barriers shall be provided between high- and low- voltage compartments. High-voltage compartment doors shall be interlocked with low-voltage compartment door to prevent access to any high-voltage section unless its associated low-voltage section door has been opened. Compartments shall be sized as specified in the attached drawing. Penta-head locking bolts shall be provided with provisions for a padlock. Primary and secondary cable compartments shall be a minimum of 24” deep. Secondary bushings are to be reinforced with external bushing supports.
