1. All plywood and trim boards on exterior walls are to be removed and disposed of at the responsibility of awarded bidder. 2. All furring material attached to the block walls are to be removed and disposed of at the responsibility of the awarded bidder. 3. The black board insulation can remain on the exterior block. 4. Any light fixture, mechanical fixture, or access box deemed no longer valid if any, is to be removed. 5. The two end aluminum gable vents are to be removed and the openings framed out 1.5 inches out past the panel lock plus soffit and wall panel. The 1.5 inch framing is then to be covered in 29 gauge metal. The bottom is is to be covered in 2 pieces with the bottom piece being an “L” trim and the top piece being an “L” piece with a ¾” drip kickout. 6. When installing new wood furring material for soffit, the installer may use a 1”x4” wood board along where the soffit overhang ties in to the block wall and along the edge of the existing fascia board. 7. There is to be a 2x6 pressure treated board installed around the bottom of the entire building to receive the first run of 1.5” metal to wood screws at 3” above the bottom of the panel lock plus wall panel. 8. There shall be an untreated 2x6 installed directly under the ¾” soffit furring strips to receive OHDJ9 trim for the top of the panel lock plus wall panel for the entire length of the structure including the front, back, and going up the eaves in each gable. 9. 2x4 furring material is sufficient to be installed between the top 2x6 and bottom 2x6 with a distance no greater than 4ft on center. 10. Wood furring material is to be anchored to the block structure using 3” long ¼” diameter tapcon masonry screws with the head of the screw entirely flush or beneath the surface of the wood furring. 11. Overhead door jambs are to be furred out solid with 1.5” wood material around the inside of the jambs either shot with a powder gun using 2” wood to steel nails or a fastener with equal or greater holding strength. All fasteners are to be countersunk flush or beneath the wood surface on all wood furring material. 12. Both window units are to be furred out around entire perimeter to receive the 29 gauge trim metal to be installed. 13. Any penetration through the masonry block wall deemed to remain must have adequate furring to receive the metal to be installed. 14. The front and back gutter is to be removed along with the gutter brackets carefully because they will be REINSTALLED once new metal fascia is installed.
