The selected vendor will conduct a four-phase curriculum audit aligned with the Connecticut PreK–12 Curriculum Design Principles: 1. Analysis and Planning ● Review existing curriculum documents and instructional frameworks. ● Evaluate the degree of alignment to Connecticut Core Standards. ● Assess vertical and horizontal articulation across schools and grade levels. ● Identify key issues and trends related to student achievement, instructional equity, and curriculum coherence. ● Review disaggregated student performance data and engagement metrics. ● Engage stakeholders (administrators, teachers, students, families, and community partners) through surveys and focus groups. ● Specific focus areas: ○ Elementary (Grades PreK-6): Science and Social Studies, implementation of other content area curricula ○ Middle Schools (Grades 7-8): Science, Social Studies, implementation of other content area curricula, Special Content Areas (Art, Music, PE/Health) ○ High School (Grades 9-12): Holistic review of curriculum, instruction, and assessment (NEASC accredited/ IB World School) ○ Alternate Programming: Special Education, Academic Assistance, Extension/Enrichment
