Buncombe County is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide comprehensive internal audit services for a three-year period. The selected firm will deliver all necessary labor, supervision, supplies, materials, and equipment to properly perform the full range of internal audit services, including risk assessments, compliance audits, internal control audits, fiscal and contract compliance audits, performance audits, forensic audits, information technology audits, and investigations of financial fraud, waste, and abuse. In addition, the selected firm may be asked to engage with certain County systems to support continuity of processes. Non-audit and consulting services may also be required where appropriate and as defined by Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards and the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
