It is the City’s intent to solicit Qualification Statements from Respondents that have expertise in providing professional legal services as described below and as set forth in the attached Notice of Solicitation for Responses. Respondents must demonstrate that they will have the continuing capabilities to perform these services. The Law Department of the City of Orange Township is seeking legal support for a law firm with substantial experience in Labor and Employment Law. Among the areas of legal representation sought by the City are negotiation of labor contracts, e) prosecution of employee disciplinary charges, 3) defense of the City in employment discrimination lawsuits, and 4) providing legal advice on issues concerning labor and employment law. Counsel will have a close working relationship with the City’s Law Department. Counsel will, on an “as needed” basis, be assigned and required to provide representation in all aspects of labor and employment law. Counsel may be called upon to attend meetings.
