• Meet with Human Resources Department to assure an understanding of the City’s objectives in the project including timeframes for completion of project. • Review related background documents including current job descriptions and current pay classification. • Submit an Action Plan to the City, satisfying to both parties, for accomplishing tasks associated with the compensation and classification study for the City. This Plan should delineate the tasks necessary to complete the project along with a reasonable timetable for completion. • Meet with the Human Resources Department, Mayor, Department Heads and City Council to describe and explain the scope and methodology. • Meet with focus groups of employees to describe and explain scope of work and methodology. This can be one-on-one or have a recorded presentation (or virtual presentation) for employees to view on their own that describes the project, phases, methods, time frame, etc. • Conduct employee outreach meetings through focus groups ideally in-person or virtually, if necessary, to share details on the study process and allow employees to identify practices that are working well and suggest area for improvement related to compensation, benefits, classification, and job titles. • Perform job analysis/evaluation for each full-time and part-time permanent job in the City, utilizing, but not limited to, questionnaires, interviews, and on-site observation by the consultant.
