The city is soliciting qualifications (RFQ) from consultants, or team of consultants, to provide architectural and engineering services to design a new motorized dock to facilitate launching and return of vessels, provide day use moorage and separately provide four secured slips for first responders at North Cove Boat Launch located at 12301 17th Place NE, Lake Stevens, WA. This project is funded by a Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office Grant (RCO) and Snohomish County. The existing dock includes day use moorage for pleasure craft and a boarding float. This structure is reaching the end of its serviceable life. Some of the features within this site are a low float non-motorized dock, boat launch, ADA accessible boat launch boarding platform, parking and restroom facilities. The city operates this site through an agreement with the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW). No changes are proposed to the boat launch or upland areas.
