a. Provide purchase pricing for up to 42 new air-conditioned school buses of various “Body Types” on the RFP Payment Form. This is a prime vendor bid. One vendor shall be selected. b. District may also elected to purchase, from dealer stock on hand at the time this RFP is awarded, up to 2 (two) used Type C buses between 5-8 years old and 1 (one) Type A buses of similar age. c. The bus body and chassis will have a 5-Year/Unlimited Miles bumper to bumper warranty – Parts and Labor.* (See pages 7 and following). Manufacturer’s or Dealer’s alternate warranty proposals will be accepted. Please clearly not deviations from the district’s request in writing as part of your RFP response. d. The bidding vendor must provide a traveling parts truck with regular visits to the City of St. Charles School District Transportation Department. e. Awarded vendor must provide a clear description of where and how all warranty repair work will be accomplished. The City of St. Charles School District would consider arrangements for this work to be done at vendor’s site, a local third-party garage, and/or by our school bus mechanic at a rate of $65.00 per hour for the full term of the contract. f. School bus dealer must provide City of St. Charles School District with PowerSpec software for Cummins, Allison and ABS System – at no additional cost to the district. g. Awarded vendor must have a body/chassis warranty location within 50 miles of St. Charles, MO. h. School Bus Dealership must provide City of St. Charles School District Transportation Department with telephonic support from certified ASE Certified Technicians to troubleshoot items at no cost to the district. i. The dealer must provide free parts shipping for the entire term of the warranty period. j. Any bus l must be pre-delivery serviced, Missouri State inspected, and factory guaranteed and must comply with both Federal and State of Missouri requirements and regulations.
