a) This project includes the renovations of five (5) group restrooms (boys and girls) and nine (9) staff & service restrooms located at Alston Middle School. The work includes replacing flooring and wall finishes, ceramic tile, paint, plumbing fixtures and accessories, bathroom partitions, and all miscellaneous transitions of new to existing flooring. In restrooms with hard ceilings the project includes painting the ceilings and replacement of lighting and mechanical items. Restrooms with acoustic tile ceilings; the ceilings, lighting and ventilation items will remain as is. These ceilings will be addressed in a separate contract. b) Soap and paper dispensers, electric hand dryers and HC bars will be reused. The contractor will be required to carefully take these items down, store, and re-install after the renovation is complete. c) Demolition of existing plumbing fixtures and installing new fixtures. The fixtures will be taken out to allow the flooring, walls, and ceiling renovations. Most new fixtures will go back to the same locations. The project includes new hardware and associated accessories. There are a few exceptions to wall mounted toilets that will be reused.
