The Broadband Planning Consultant will customize planning services to meet the unique needs of each project, which may include, yet is not limited to, one or more of the following general types of work: 1) State and Federal Funding Alignment Provide strategic guidance for State and Federal funding opportunities 2) Feasibility Assessment Evaluate current broadband infrastructure and market conditions to support sound business decision making 3) Technical Planning Develop a detailed proposal with design, schedule, and cost estimates for broadband deployment 4) Strategic Planning Develop a community/other Broadband Strategic Plan Guide Create a customized plan to help an entity become an Internet Service Provider One benefit of these services is to significantly strengthen an SP or other applicants’ chances of being awarded Federal or other grant and/or loan funds. This work often requires engineering and some level of grant expertise to ensure the proper alignment of work with targeted funding application requirements. A Broadband Planning Contractor’s work under this PA must be conducted in a manner compliant with the requirements of the applicable grant program for which the Procuring Agency wishes to pursue.
