The awarded vendor(s) will supply B0-5 diesel fuel with the following specifications: 1. Diesel fuel shall be free of any suspended material and free of water. 2. All diesel fuel must contain a biocide to control the growth of algae and other bio-contaminants (product manufacturer identified and specifications attached to vendor's bid submittal). 3. Diesel fuel shall have a minimum cold filter plugging point of -30° F during the winter months, November 1st through March 31st. Note: Awarded vendor is responsible for meeting this specification. Cold-weather specific additives must be used and will be subject to the approval of Vehicle Maintenance based on fuel testing results for biodiesel. Performance additives will not be accepted. This additive can be delivered with fuel delivery or shipped in bulk to Nichols Garage and then dispersed by Vehicle Maintenance. Awarded vendor must ensure that enough additive is supplied to cover all fuel deliveries for the months specified at the treatment rate required to meet the cold filter plugging point specification of -30. 4. Diesel fuel shall be completely distilled material and shall meet current standards for SAE J313 and ASTM designation D-975 for all grades. 5. The fuel shall not contain more than 0.0015% sulfur. 6. The Cetane number shall be a minimum of 45.0 during winter months, November 1st through March 31st per ASTM D4737/ASTM 976 test method. 7. Blend stock shall be (B100). To ensure uniformity and year round use, this specification is for pure (100%) soy oil based biodiesel prior to use or blending with diesel fuel and must meet the current ASTM D-6751 designation. 8. Awarded vendor(s) must submit verification the biodiesel producer is BQ 9000 accredited. 9. Awarded vendor's product must be legally registered with the Environmental Protection Agency as a legal motor fuel for the sale and use in highway vehicles. 10. All biodiesel fuel shall be blended with #2 ULSD prior to delivery.
