The intent of this solicitation is to select one or more qualified fencing and gate contractors to provide on-call installation, replacement, and repair services for the District on an as-needed basis. Services will support daily operations, physical security needs, and minor construction projects across all district sites and facilities. Fencing and Gate Services Services may include, but are not limited to: • Inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing fencing, posts, rails, hinges, latches, and related mechanisms. • Installing, repairing, and replacing galvanized and vinyl-coated chain link fencing, posts, rails, gates, tension wires, and fittings for perimeter and athletic enclosures. • Repairing, welding, refining, and installing steel or aluminum ornamental fencing, gates, and security bars, matching existing architectural styles. • Installing, repairing, and replacing vehicle and pedestrian access gates, magnetic locks, panic bars, bollards, and vehicular barriers. • Excavating and setting fence and gate posts in concrete to ensure structural integrity. Repairs and Installation Standards • All work must be completed fully; temporary repairs require District approval and are permitted only if permanent repairs are delayed due to circumstances beyond the Contractor’s control. • New installations must ensure proper gate alignment, smooth operation, secure locking, and match existing fence style, height, and color unless otherwise directed. • Work must meet or exceed industry standards for tension, alignment, and structural integrity. Work Standards and Licensing • Compliance with all applicable laws, codes, and ADA requirements is mandatory. • Contractors must hold an active Arizona Registrar of Contractors license in the appropriate fencing classification (CR-14, R-14, or C-14) and provide proof upon contract award. • Only skilled personnel may perform work; subcontractors require prior approval from the District. • Underground utilities must be located before excavation, coordinating with Arizona 811. Damage from negligence is the Contractor’s responsibility. • Insurance coverage consistent with District requirements must be maintained, with certificates provided upon request. Tools, Equipment, and Materials • Contractor shall provide all tools, equipment, and service vehicles at no cost to the District. • Materials must be new, commercial-grade, and suitable for Arizona’s climate. • Welding must conform to American Welding Society standards; fasteners and fittings must be corrosion-resistant. • Substitutions require prior written District approval. Reimbursable Expenses • Reimbursable costs such as inspections, permits, and pre-approved rental equipment shall have no mark-up. Supporting receipts must be available for District review
