The City of Bend requests proposals for the design of the Downtown Traffic Signal Design project. This project will complete a design and cost estimate for the replacement of two traffic signals at the Franklin Street intersections of the Wall Street and Bond Street couplet including curb extensions and updating the cross-section from Wall to Broadway to include an enhanced median crossing of Franklin Street at Broadway. It also includes preparation of a 30% design and cost estimate for replacement of the two traffic signals at the Oregon Avenue intersections of the Wall Street and Bond Street couplet including a raised intersection or raised crossing. The project allows the City to design traffic signal equipment in downtown Bend to meet changing technology demands including but not limited to upgraded traffic signal controllers, detection, illumination, poles, communications, and cabinets as well as safety enhancements with curb extensions, medians, and updated ADA ramps.
