UNLV desires to construct a specialized Trace Metals Analysis (TMA) laboratory facility (termed TML) in the Science and Engineering Building (SEB) for use with trace metals sample processes and techniques for isotope geochemistry used in determinization of major, minor, and trace element concentrations down to part per trillion/quadrillion levels along with high-precision isotopic measurements of metals. The design of this unique facility includes metal-free ISO-certified cleanroom spaces for sample process bay(s), weight/balance room, gowning entry/exit, and includes specialized fume hoods and laminar flow clean benches with metal-free design (no exposed metal) for use with sample preparation, acid distillation purification systems, and hotplate evaporation. This interior tenant improvement is on the 3rd floor of the Science and Engineering Building (SEB) and includes the demo of laboratory equipment, the addition of two new rooms within an existing research lab and modifications to the lab’s existing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and sprinkler systems. Interested bidders MUST HAVE relevant project experience in higher education and/or medical professional research laboratories similar in size (sq footage), scope, complexity within the last five (5) years. Interested bidders must provide project dates, costs and client contact information in the Affirmations tab of NGEM.
