The contractor shall conduct a feasibility assessment for the establishment of an ACGME-accredited residency program or a rural training track program, that is designed to be sustainable long-term through viable and stable funding mechanisms, such as Medicare, Medicaid, and other public or private funding sources. The contractor’s feasibility assessment shall include the feasibility of incorporating a cumulative eight (8) weeks of addiction medicine or addiction psychiatry training and a cumulative eight (8) weeks of training in a rural area, which can be done separately or concurrently, for a GME program in one of the following practice disciplines: Family Medicine, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Internal Medicine-Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, or Psychiatry.
