The commissioning process activities completed by the CxA during the design & bid phase include: 1. Conduct a commissioning kick-off meeting with the project team. 2. Review the Owner’s Project Requirements. 3. Review the Basis of Design as prepared by the Design team. 4. Attend meetings, design workshops, design reviews, and value engineering discussions during design. Participate in discussions relating to new technologies being evaluated to meet energy efficiency and sustainability requirements. 5. The commissioning specification will include a detailed description of the responsibilities of all parties, details of the commissioning process, reporting and documentation requirements (including formats), alerts to coordination issues, deficiency resolution, construction checklist and startup requirements, and the functional testing process. 7.
