The scope of this RFP is to provide unarmed Security Services for the Marion County Fair. The successful Proposer shall work with the Fair event coordinator, Fair Board Treasurer, gate services personnel, and electronic ticketing contractor to reduce losses related to unauthorized fairgrounds access and to improve safety and protection for everyone, including staff, volunteers, vendors, participants, and fairgoers; and shall provide security and onsite cash transportation/processing services for the Fair. The Fair is held the second full weekend in July, Thursday through Sunday at the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Salem. 24-hour security services shall begin during Fair setup beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday and each day of the Fair through 8:00 a.m. Monday. The Fair’s operating hours are: Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. (PST); Friday & Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. (PST); Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (PST)
