The second stage ambulance manufacturer may not 9 remove or replace any component of the chassis with any aftermarket components not listed in these 10 specifications. 11 A certificate of compliance with all FMVSS requirements shall be attached to the finished vehicle on the 12 chassis door frame post by the ambulance manufacturer. 13 14 VEHICLE AND WHEELBASE: The chassis for this ambulance shall be a new - current model year 15 Ford F-550 4x4 cab chassis with dual rear wheels, a 193-inch wheelbase and 108-inch cab to axle 16 measurement, with four-wheel drive, and ambulance prep package. 17 18 ENGINE: The gasoline engine shall be a Ford 7.3 Liter 2v DECVT V8 or current model year equivalent. 19 20 TRANSMISSION: The transmission will be a Ford TorqShift 10 -Speed Automatic with selectable drive 21 modes. 22 23 FRONT AXLE: The front axle shall be a 7,500lb Solid Twin-Coil Monobeam from Ford. 24 25 REAR AXLE: The rear axle shall be 15,500lb solid axle from Ford. 26 27 REAR AXLE GEAR RATIO: The gear ratio shall be set at 4:10 to 1 28 29 FRONT SUSPENSION: The front suspension shall be 7,500lb coil with shock absorbers. 30 31 REAR SUSPENSION: Liquid Spring rear suspension system 32 33 TRANSFER CASE: Electric Shift-On-the-Fly 4-Wheel-Drive System 34 35 FRONT BUMPER: Full width Aerodynamic steel, Chrome Plated. 36 37 FRONT GRILL: Grill shall be Chrome 38 39 BRAKE SYSTEM: Four Wheel Disc brakes with anti-lock system Hydro-boost power assist. 40 41 WHEELS: Front and Rear Wheels shall be 19.5” Argent Painted Steel with Stainless Steel Wheel 42 Simulators. 43 44 TIRES: Shall be LT225 / 70R x 19.5 load range G Black side wall All Season Tires. 45 46 STEERING: Electrohydraulic power steering. 47 48 ALTERNATORS: There will be two (2) OEM installed alternators with a combined output of 410 amps. 49 No add on power systems are acceptable.
