The goal of this project is to replace 3,110 feet of deteriorating concrete along the Farmers Ditch, a section of canal owned and maintained by the City of Farmington, located at the end of the Farmers Irrigation District canal. The current concrete is damaged and contributes to water seepage. By replacing the concrete, we aim to reduce seepage and modify the canal to enhance its capacity and overall efficiency. The project involves the complete replacement of the existing concrete lining in a designated section of the canal. The scope includes the removal and disposal of the existing concrete lining, excavation and grading of the canal bed and slopes, subgrade preparation and compaction, installation of formwork and reinforcing stall, and placement of new reinforced concrete lining. The work also includes proper curing of the concrete, protection of the finished surface, and final site cleanup and restoration. All work shall be performed in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable standards to ensure a durable and properly functioning canal lining system.
