The Phase 1 project as identified in the Project Plan recommends the following general improvements: • Influent Pumping – Replacement of existing pumps, piping, valves, flow meters, and rehabilitation of the Primary Building. • Primary Clarification – New splitter box for improved flow split, replacement / modification of primary clarifiers mechanisms, primary scum pumping modifications. • Activated Sludge Basins and Aeration Facilities – Conversion to A/O BPR facility with baffle walls and mixers, replacement of diffusers and blowers, aeration piping and control modifications, and structural tank modifications. • Final Clarification – Two new Final Clarifiers, drain and scum pumping station(s), new RAS pumps, replacement of RAS pumps, and relocation / modification of DAF pumps and piping. • Backup/Polishing CPR – New building and equipment for backup chemical polishing (CPR) system. • Primary Sludge Fermentation – Modify gravity thickener for use as Primary Sludge Fermenter.
