The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a contract for the purchase, delivery, and installation of furniture and related services for McKinney Independent School District (ISD). The awarded vendor(s) will provide high-quality, durable, and cost-effective furniture solutions that support the learning environment across district facilities, including new construction, renovations, and ongoing replacement needs. 1. General Requirements Vendor shall provide commercial-grade furniture suitable for educational environments (PK–12), administrative offices, libraries, cafeterias, playground/outdoor furniture, and other district spaces. All products must meet or exceed industry standards for durability, safety, and ergonomic design (e.g., BIFMA, ANSI standards). Vendor shall offer space planning, design assistance, and product recommendations upon request. Vendor shall ensure all products are new, unused, and free from defects. Vendor shall provide warranty information for all items and handle claims efficiently. 2. Categories of Furniture Furniture categories may include, but are not limited to: Classroom furniture – desks, chairs, tables, teacher stations, student seating, storage units. Office furniture – desks, task chairs, filing cabinets, conference tables, reception seating. Library furniture – shelving, reading tables, lounge seating, circulation desks. Cafeteria furniture – tables, benches, stools, mobile cafeteria units. Science/lab furniture – workstations, stools, storage, fume hood tables. Early childhood furniture – cubbies, activity tables, rest mats, play equipment. Outdoor furniture – benches, picnic tables, trash receptacles, bike racks. Auditorium furniture – fixed seating, lecture hall furniture. Specialty furniture – makerspace, STEM lab, or collaborative learning environments. 3. Delivery and Installation Vendor shall deliver and install furniture to any district campus or facility as designated on the purchase order. Delivery and installation must be scheduled and coordinated with the Purchasing Department. Vendor shall be responsible for assembly, placement, debris removal, and cleanup of all packaging materials. Delivery timelines must be clearly communicated and met; failure to meet agreed delivery dates may result in notice to cure or contract termination. All work must comply with District safety and security protocols, including background checks for vendor personnel. 4. Design and Consultation Services (If Applicable) Vendors who offer design and consultation services shall, upon request by McKinney ISD, provide the following: On-site or virtual consultation for layout and design. 2D and/or 3D drawings, space planning, and color/material samples for approval prior to order placement.
