NMSU Procurement Services has issued this Request For Proposal to engage a firm with consulting experience to provide Technical Staff Augmentation Services on an as-needed basis. The selected firm(s) will support and assist the University’s mission in strengthening the system and its components to address the challenges and opportunities ahead. The awarded firm(s) will provide technical professionals in the areas of Technology Specialists, Academic Specialists, Administrative Systems Specialists and Functional Area Support. Technical areas to include but not limited to: Project Managers, Infrastructure Architects, Database Administrators, SQL Migration Experts, Web Architects, Portal and Data Architects; System Analysts, Programmer Analysts, Technical Analyst and System Developers. The awarded firm will work closely with IT Leadership and Management to assess, plan and implement change in systems, programs and strategies to realize the vision, mission and strategic plan of the University. Skills required but not limited to: o Deep knowledge of Oracle Database technology and the Banner Database structure and architecture o Ability to write PL/SQL and execute queries against the Banner tables and update tables utilizing Banner packages o Strong understanding of Banner packages and rules o Ability to communicate with technical staff and departmental personnel on requirements definition, and the ability to translate requirement specifications into executable code o Ability to provide task estimates and the ability to manage and adhere to a project plan. o Understanding Banner integrations o Deep understanding of deployment and testing in a test environment and working with Operations on Production deployments o Ability to identify and document issues and follow up on resolution options o Integration support with third-party systems, including the Banner ERP application. Custom Development Services including but not limited to web application development in current industry leading languages.
