The Northeast Maryland Waste Disposal Authority (the “Authority”) is soliciting bids for a qualified contractor to provide services to the City of Baltimore, Maryland (the “City”) related to the acceptance, transportation, and disposal (or recycling) of residential household hazardous waste during City designated Residential Household Hazardous Waste (“HHW”) Drop-off Days. The primary goal of the City’s residential household hazardous waste disposal programs is to provide a safe and convenient method whereby citizens can drop-off their stored Household Hazardous Wastes (HHW). The Contractor will be expected to provide pickup (including packaging, loading transportation, and recycling/disposal)) of the HHW after the City hosted HHW Drop-Off Events. The City prefers recycling to disposal, as long as it is the most environmentally favorable choice available. The City hosts about 7 HHW Drop-Off Events (2-Day events each month from April to October) per year at City designated sites. The population of the City of Baltimore is estimated at 568,271.
