The chilled water system will be comprised of the following: • Provide and Install one, 60 ton, air cooled, scroll chiller. • Provide and Install one, 134 gpm, 5 Hp, end suction chilled water pump. • The chilled water pump will be provided with a variable frequency controller (VFC). VFC will be provided for capacity control, soft start characteristics, and diagnostics. • The new chiller will be located outside of the building at the rear of the building on the existing concrete. The chiller shall be located a minimum of 7 ft from the building near the existing double doors of the Reactor Rm or Extruder Rm. • Chilled water main piping will be distributed throughout the Reactor Room and the Extruder Room utilizing mains, tees, valved branches with both shut-off and balancing valves. Risers and final connections to the various pieces of equipment will be done as part of those individual projects. Refer to piping schematic attached for additional information. • The chilled water system will be provided with a pump, 500 gallon, open storage tank large enough to hold the contents of the entire system for maintenance purposes and all strainers, control valves, thermometers and temperature sensors, pressure gauges and sensors, self-contained automatic controls system, and appurtenances for a complete and operable system.
