A. ROWIB’s shall be thoroughly cleaned and free of deposits, including, but not limited to, deposit removal in and around the inlet, the screen box, and concrete chamber. The Contractor shall ensure that the area surrounding and upstream of the ROWIB, including the concrete apron and street gutter, grate frame, and adjacent sidewalks, are clean and free of deposits. B. The Contractor shall perform the Work promptly and diligently and complete the Work without delay. C. Gutter, Apron, and Inlet: The Contractor shall remove and collect all deposits from the concrete gutter, apron, and steel-faced inlet. The Contractor shall use a combination of machine, hand tool, and high-pressure cleaning with a Combination Catch Basin-Sewer Cleaner, rakes, brooms, shovels, and picks to remove sediment, silt, and debris. When all deposits are clear from the inlet, the concrete gutter, apron, and steel-faced inlet shall be cleaned and flushed with high-pressure spray water to ensure water entering the inlet is not impeded by water runoff from the roadway. D. Debris Screens: Once the concrete gutter, apron, and steel-faced inlet are clean, the Contractor shall open and remove the drainage structure grate, temporarily storing it to avoid damage. The Contractor shall inspect and remove the inlet screen box and debris screens and clean them thoroughly using hand tools and high-pressure spray water.
