To purchase bunker gear, boots, gloves and other protective accessories, on an “as required” basis, to be utilized by the Charlotte County Fire Rescue/Emergency Medical Services Division (Fire/EMS). OUTER SHELL REQUIREMENTS (COAT AND PANTS): Materials of the outer shell shall be constructed of 64/36 Kevlar®/PBI™ twill weave outer shell fabric with an approximate weight of 6.9 oz. per square yard. The shell material must be treated with a durable water-repellent finish that offers resistance to liquid absorption. Color of the garments shall be natural/gold. THERMAL INSULATING LINER (COAT AND PANTS): Material shall be TENCATE “Titanium SL 2i” – with an approximate weight of 7.7 ounces per square yard. Liner shall consist of one (1) layer of 1.5 oz. and one (1) layer of 2.3 oz. per square yard Nomex E-89 spunlaced Nomex. Kevlar aramid blend, quilt stitched to a Nomex filament and FR rayon/paraaramid/nylon inherently wicking Titanium face cloth.
