What the Contractor WILL Do (Tasks/Scope): 2.1 Job Meeting 2.1.1 Meet/call with the Contract Manager (CM) to confirm critical information 1 week before service begins. 2.2 Pick Up 2.2.1 Weekly pickup every Monday, unless it is a state or federal holiday, in which case pickup occurs on the next non-holiday weekday. See Attachment A-1 for the detailed schedule. 2.2.2 Pickup shall occur at 10:00 AM at GYA’s Building 728 Barracks located at 720 Mendocino Ave, Camp SLO San Luis Obispo, CA 93405. 2.2.3 GYA will stage linens in contractor-provided bins at Building 728. GYA will provide a laundry slip listing the total weight and number of laundered items. The contractor shall verify the slip’s accuracy at pickup and sign it. 2.2.4 The contractor shall provide 10 heavy-duty, labeled bins (minimum capacity: 50 pounds each) for linen transport. Bins shall be delivered to GYA by the contractor one week prior to the first scheduled pickup and replaced with clean bins at each pickup. 2.2.5 Contractor personnel must present a company-issued photo ID badge, California Real ID, and provide proof of vehicle insurance to enter GYA premises. 2.3 Cleaning 2.3.1 Detergents: All items shall be laundered using detergents free of nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPEs), in compliance with 22 CCR 69511.8, effective October 2024, due to environmental and health concerns. Water temperature must be between 90 and 110 degrees Fahrenheit. 2.3.2 Fabric Care: Items shall be cleaned according to laundry instruction tags affixed to each article. GYA confirms that all linens have intact, legible laundry instruction tags. 2.3.3 Sorting: Items shall be sorted by type (e.g., all bed sheets together, all pillowcases together) to prevent damage or improper cleaning. 2.3.4 Inspection: Contractor shall inspect all items after washing for stains or tears. Items deemed unfit for use shall be reported to the CM via email, including details of the issue. 2.3.5 Drying: Items shall be dried on medium heat, not exceeding 150 degrees Fahrenheit, without the use of dryer fabric sheets.
