The City of Farmington is committed to ensuring that all revenue generated through the Ricketts Park Sign Advertising Program is strategically reinvested into the growth, quality, and sustainability of baseball in Farmington. Every dollar earned and allocated through this program should ultimately serve the players, coaches, families, and community by strengthening opportunities, promoting sportsmanship, and supporting the long-standing baseball traditions that make Farmington a recognized home for the sport. Organizations with a passion for youth baseball and community development are encouraged to apply. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to meet the following requirements: 1. Youth Baseball Affiliation – Applicants must be affiliated with youth baseball and register with the American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC) program according to the Official White Handbook. Dues shall be paid with revenue from the Ricketts Park Sign Advertising Program in accordance with AABC requirements. Organizations should note that fees vary based on team registration and AABC costs. The current registration fee is $50 per team, resulting in an estimated annual cost of approximately $3,100. 2. Connie Mack World Series Support – Applicants must provide a minimum of $5,000 in funding to the Connie Mack World Series (CMWS) Executive Committee in support of the Foster Family/Player Housing initiative during the Series. This investment directly contributes to the success of Farmington’s signature baseball event and supports both players and host families. 3. Host Team Support – Applicants must provide $2,000 in funding to support the designated HOST team of the CMWS Series, ensuring that the team is equipped to represent Farmington with pride and excellence. 4. Scholarship Program Development and Community Investment – All remaining revenue shall be used to create and sustain an accessible youth baseball program that benefits the Farmington community. This program should address both the recreational and competitive aspects of the sport through initiatives such as: o A registration scholarship program to ensure no child is excluded due to financial hardship. o Experienced oversight of the youth baseball association to ensure quality, consistency, and accountability. o Camps, clinics, and training opportunities designed to improve player development and coaching skills. o Community partnerships that expand opportunities for games, tournaments, and skill enrichment.
