This project consists of Arterial Cleaning, Supplemental Sweeping shall consist of the pickup, removal and satisfactory disposal of limbs, sticks, leaves, sand stones, dirt, weeds, debris, deceased animal carcasses, refuse, litter and any other rubbish which has accumulated on the highway areas located on various State maintained arterial routes located within the county of Will.

The work to be completed under this contract is divided in to two (2) categories: (I) Arterial Cleaning, (II) Supplemental Sweeping. The work to be done under Arterial Cleaning shall consist of the pickup, removal and satisfactory disposal of limbs, sticks, leaves, sand, stones, dirt, weeds, debris, deceased animal carcasses, refuse, litter and any other rubbish which has accumulated on the highway areas hereinafter described as the areas to be cleaned. After each cleaning cycle all areas must present an appearance which is completely satisfactory to the Engineer. Adequate equipment and hand labor are to be provided to accomplish the work to the satisfaction of the Engineer. Specific provisions for two categories of work will be described in subsequent pages of these Special Provisions.
