GOAL: The State of Illinois, Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), will accept bids from responsible and responsive bidders for the operation of a concession at Lowden State Park located in Oregon, Illinois. Through IDNR programs and in conjunction with the Vendor, the Department of Natural Resources seeks to improve overall visitor satisfaction by ensuring high quality visitor services while broadening the economic base of the region and the communities of the surrounding parks. SUPPLIES AND/OR SERVICES REQUIRED: Vendor shall be required to have the concession open to the public for the purpose of serving guests as per the hours/dates listed in Section 1.4.1. The concession must offer snacks, cold non-alcoholic beverages, Illinois Native firewood & bagged ice. AUTHORIZED SUPPLIES AND/OR SERVICES: The concessionaire at Lowden State Park will be authorized to sell, serve or dispense food, confections, hot and cold non-alcoholic beverages, souvenirs and novelties, newspapers, post cards, boating equipment, bait, hunting/fishing licenses, state stamps, marine, fishing, picnic and camping supplies, Illinois Native Firewood, propane and bagged ice. In addition, the concession is authorized to rent bicycles, kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and inner tubes. The vendor may also drive through the campground to offer the above listed items for sale if they choose to do so. If vendor chooses to sell fishing/hunting licenses, stamps and permits, then the vendor shall become a licensed vendor with IDNR for the sale of these items. Video Gaming is not allowed at the concession. The Site Superintendent and/or Concession Manager have absolute discretion to approve the types, items and quality of all merchandise sold and services rendered at the concession.
