This project consists of widening the north side of Old Madison Pike from Hughes Road through Sunset Blvd., with the width varying throughout the project, a length of 1300 feet. The existing roadway is to be milled and overlaid from Plaza Blvd. and Brownsferry Road through the Sunset Blvd. and Old Madison Pike intersection and is to include storm sewer modifications and installation of new inlets. The project also includes the replacement of the traffic signal at Hughes Road and Brownsferry Road / Old Madison Pike. The project includes all work items necessary to complete the project and must conform to ADA/PROWAG requirements. Contractors are required to meet MUTCD standards for traffic control and must provide access at all times to businesses and side streets that are within the project limits. Working hours are 5:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and the project completion timeframe is 90 calendar days from the issuance of a notice to proceed, which is anticipated to be issued on April 1, 2026.
