1. Preparation: Prior to each mowing, all trash, sticks, and other unwanted debris should be removed from the mowing area. Limbs can be placed in a pile along the curb for pickup and reported to the inspector for pickup. In the event that excess amounts of litter are found at a location, the ROW Inspector should be notified so that a decision can be made regarding litter removal. 2. Mowing: The lawn area is to be mowed on a weekly basis from March 15th to November 1st to provide a neat and uniformly finished lawn. Mowing height will be maintained at three (3) inches except during the months of June, July, August and September during which the height of cut will be 3 and one half (3 ½) inches. The height should be maintained at 3 inches at Bryan Park during all months. In addition, mowing shall be completed with sharp mower blades to avoid frayed plant tips. 3. Trimming: Trimming (weed eater) around plant beds and immovable objects shall be done with each mowing. Trimming operations shall be completed in such a manner as to avoid scalping of turfed areas. 4. Sidewalks & Curbs: Walks and Curbs 1. All walks and curbs will be edged weekly during the growing seasons. 2. All walks and curbs will be blown off to remove debris and grass clippings. 3. All walk and curb cracks will be sprayed to control grass and weeds. Pesticides used in spraying operations shall be environmentally low-impact and have little or no soil mobility.
