This Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") from interested Consulting Engineer Firm(s) ("Firm” or "Firms") by Central Alabama Water (“CAW”) seeks information from a broad cross section of possible firms with a national reputation for providing high quality engineering services to water utilities with critical knowledge related to the supply, treatment, and distribution of potable water. This RFQ will be a five (5) year award with an optional five (5) year renewal. The selected engineer consultant must be licensed in the State of Alabama. In addition, the consulting engineer chosen must be capable of providing the services required by Alabama Code §11-50-300.08 which include, but are not limited to: (1) From time to time but not less frequently than annually, an assessment of and comments on the regional board’s compliance with Alabama Code §11-50-300.07, including separate assessments and comments on each of the financial statements and reports required by Alabama Code §11-50- 300.07. (2) Prior to the approval by the regional board of a capital project costing two million dollars ($2,000,000) or more, an assessment and report on the necessity, concept, design, and expected operating and capital cost of the project.
