REPAIR YORK - CHILLER #2 COMPRESSOR #2 (NCH-2B) SHAFT SEAL REPLACEMENT (MODEL: YDC4C4J3- DDB; SERIAL#: SCRM-146420) • Arrive onsite, check in with supervisor or operator before performing any work. • Perform lock out tag out requirements for York Chiller #2. • Provide recovery equipment to recover 134A refrigerant. Recovery tanks for 134A refrigerant provided by USC. • Perform a leak check on Chiller #2 using manufacturer-recommended methods (e.g., electronic leak detector, soap solution, or ultrasonic leak detection). • Inspect all accessible refrigerant piping, fittings, valves, and compressor seals for signs of leakage. • Document any detected leaks and report findings to USC prior to proceeding. • Repair any identified leaks in accordance with OEM procedures before continuing with shaft seal replacement. • Any additional 134A refrigerant needed to meet factory charge specifications will be provided by USC. • Remove compressor #2 motor coupling. Check compressor #2 low speed thrust. • Remove compressor #2 low speed shaft seal. Clean compressor #2 cavity and install new OEM shaft seal with new Oring. • Install compressor #2 coupling and check alignment. • Change oil filter and take an oil sample for analysis. • Pull vacuum on chiller #2 to factory specifications. • Charge Chiller #2 to factory specifications with 134A refrigerant. • Remove lock outs, start up chiller #2 and check for proper operation. • Contractor responsibility for clean-up and work scope related debris removal in contractor provided containers. • Take vibration readings from both compressors. • Provide USC with oil, vibration, and refrigerant activity reports
