A. Clemson seeks to establish a landscaping contract to maintain a safe, clean, and attractive site at their Center for Human Genetics in Greenwood SC. B. The successful offeror must maintain a safe, clean, and attractive site by mowing, edging, chemically treating (herbicides and pesticides), leaf blowing/vacuuming, trimming, removing debris, power washing, bush hogging, planting, mulching and other duties areas around 114 Gregor Mendel Circle. See Section VI. Appendix to the Scope of Work, A., Site Map. C. This property is approximately 1/2 acre includes all areas around the building and Gregor Mendel Circle, Greenwood SC. D. Services must be performed weekly March through September with a 14- day cycle December through February unless otherwise noted. 1. Mowing: a. The contractor shall mow all warm season grasses to a uniform height not less than one and one-half (1 ½”) inches and shall mow grass at intervals such that the maximum height does not exceed three (3”) inches. 2. Herbicides, Pesticides and Fertilization: a. Contractors must provide testing, chemical treatments, fertilization, etc. as described in this section. b. MSDS and soil sample test results must be submitted to the Clemson University designee via email for written approval prior to use. c. The contractor shall twice yearly treat all cut lawn areas with the appropriate herbicide for weeds notifying the owner’s representative before treatment application. d. The contractor shall treat all weeds in mulch areas and hard (paved, sidewalks, plaza) surfaces by spraying an herbicide, cutting or pulling to remove, on each visit. e. Remove weeds without chemicals or herbicides in areas not suitable for spray such as in bedding areas.
